Sure, there are places popping up where you place your order on an iPad. Oldfield’s Liquor Room prefers to ring you up on a 1930’s style cash register.

Starting tonight, you can step back into a simpler, Pleasantville time, where the bar staff dons custom uniforms with bow ties and newsboy caps, and waitresses rock seersucker and gingham apron dresses.

Bebop wafts merrily from the speakers. But this isn’t a place for pansy drinkers.

Put-hair-on-your-chest cocktails include the Bols Genever-spiked Dauntless and a tequila, honey, and grapefruit concoction called Outlaw. At the daily happy hour (5-9p) four of the old-fashioned drinks are $7. Craft beer and wines go for $6.

Stay upright with one of the bar sandwiches: there’s one with Challerhocker cheese, rosemary, and apricot mostarda, another stuffed with dark chocolate, citrus-infused olive oil, and sea salt.

For extra encouragement, just hover around the giant, wooden stand-up AM/FM radio in the back — the perfect place to ask your girl to go steady.
